All I can say is somewhere around that time I was not in a great place health-wise - I am still not on fighting form - and then later that year we moved house from Bury, Lancashire to Newtongrange, Scotland. I am wary about saying I hope to get back on track soon as I may well have said that before.😏
Meanwhile, back at the camp, some of my mojo must have returned because I have just bought these fabulous little bits from a very talented lady. I follow her blog Mitch Moo Miniatures which I heartily commend to you. She makes wonderful things for her own projects and is super generous in sharing the how-to with her readers. For those of us with less talent/time/patience she occasionally makes and sells a piece or two on her Etsy site, Mitchy Moo Miniatures. Here is what I have just snaffled. I make no apology for giving each item two pictures as I want you to see her perfect scale.
So, so dainty and detailed |
Closer up |
Maybe this is a normal hairdryer alongside a giant's hair dryer |
Just look at the detail on the back of it, love the hair gel that comes with it |
My quite small specs and Pepper's really small specs |
Sorry they are still in their bags and, yes, they have lenses in them |
Just a decor item for somewhere |

Jodi Hippler has just left me a message saying: for those with Instagram Pepper posts photos of her wonders regularly, so you can follow her via @peppermitchelson.
Hello Marilyn,
ReplyDeleteHow nice to see you posting again. I do hope you get settled in and that your health gets back to 100%. How lovely these items are. you have a great eye and Mitchy Moo Miniatures is insanely talented.
Big hug
Giac
Hello Giac,
DeleteI am well settled into the new home so it's not a good excuse for not playing with Dalton House - just a bad attack of apathy I think.
“Never put off till tomorrow what may be done day after tomorrow just as well.”
– Mark Twain
Hopefully I will get a grip and wade in again. Isn't Pepper the smartest person ever, along with you of course.
Marilyn
Never would my fingers make such delicate items in miniature...little treasures to place carefully in various scenes. Hope playing with Dalton House will bring much pleasure in the coming days! Cheers, Alayne
ReplyDeleteThank you Alayne. People who see these miniatures often say 'Oh I could never deal with anything so tiny' - as did I once upon a time and then we surprise ourselves in being able to. That said, I would never be able to do what Pepper does. Indeed, after all this time, I am nervy about getting my hands to work on teeny things again.
DeleteI'm so jealous that you can get minis from Pepper! I love that hair dryer. And those hangers are perfect!
ReplyDeleteHi Sheila, Is it the cost of mailing to the States that precludes your getting stuff from Pepper? Totally understand that. If its that Pepper doesn't mail to the USA and you want stuff, you can always order and get them sent to me and I will mail them on for you and you can paypal me the postage. Happy to help if I can. Marilyn
DeleteLovely to see you blogging again Marilyn., I love reading what you’ve been up to. Hope your health improves soon.
ReplyDeleteThanks Kath for both statements. It is lovely to be back with mini chums again. Marilyn
DeleteI love the minis, Marilyn, and love having you post even just to show us new treasures! I am glad you are starting to get the old energy back! A move right after an illness naturally takes time in which to build stamina again! Just unpacking is a daunting task!
ReplyDeleteI wanted to mention for those with Instagram that Pepper posts photos of her wonders regularly, so you can follow her via @peppermitchelson.
Hope to see another post soon!
Thanks for the Instagram link - I didn't know about that but, then again, I don't have Instagram, but know a zillion folk who do. I will go back to the post and add it in. Yup I have a string of good excuses for the last couple of years but am beginning to think I can see the light. Fingers crossed I am going forward even its by inches. Little purchases like this and hearing from mini folk help in a big way. Watch this space.
DeleteHello Marilyn! So happy to read a post from you again! Time flies even when you're Not having fun and there are many of my friends and family who have been ill during 2018 and are still trying to fully recover.
ReplyDeleteI hope your new home in Scotland has positively encouraged your health and your mojo! :)
Until I read your post, I hadn't a clue that Pepper was still involved with miniatures as her blog has been dormant for quite a while as well. I was glad to visit her Esty store and see all of the wonderful items she sells especially seeing the mini European electrical outlets which I was totally unfamiliar with but I LOVE your purchases; the eye glasses and the hair dryer with gel being my favourites.
I recently opened an INSTAGRAM account and still learning to navigate it, so Jodi's info regarding Pepper's activity there is timely.
I hope that your new Treasures will continue to activate your mojo as well as inspire you, and that more posts of Dalton House are soon on the horizon.

Hi Elizabeth, If you need UK electrical outlets take a peak at Delph Miniatures they have great ones. I might be climbing out of the pit as I have just put in a ceiling light and bought more treasures. Blogging today if I can make the time. Thanks as always for stopping by.

DeleteSo awesome! I love Pepper's minis! :D
ReplyDeleteAren't they just the bee's knees! Lovely to see you.
DeleteHello friend - nice to see you back blogging again and with such lovely purchases. I think the wee specs just have to be my favourite. Glad to hear you're doing well.
ReplyDeleteHello mini chum, I adore the specs - most of all because they have lenses!! Little things please little minds....... Onwards and upwards.
DeleteSuch neat minis! I love the glasses and is it weird that my favorites are the hangers?
ReplyDeleteWelcome Brandy,
DeleteWell that's me weird and you weird....I absolutely love the hangers..... I am sure they would just be passed over as incidentail by normal folk.
