Nice little kit

Here's another nice little kit from Elf Miniatures.   As always it comes in loads of different finishes.  It  has a lovely white 'glass' top.  It is very quick to make other than the usual waiting for paint and glue to dry.

the kit

boxes built and painted

all glued together

in situ

The room will have pictures and TV and wall lights and a rug so not quite as sterile as this.

(oops, just noticed I haven't tidied up my coving with paint)

  2. Very cool! Sometimes we just need those (almost) instant gratification kits to feel we are mocing forward a bit quicker. Having too much to do can be tedious!

    1. Quite right, I often forget how pleasant it is to just work on a little kit.

  3. Hi Marylyn, I had some catching up to do on your blogs and so I have to say first that I love the yellow color you've chosen for the ELF console and that you've done a Great job constructing this kit.
However, the other thing which I want to add is what a Blessing that your illness (as awful as it sounds), began prior to your leaving the country. It is easier to be unwell in familiar surrounds
than it is on foreign soil.
It was a shame though to have missed the time with your son and his family as well as with your friends and disappointing for you to miss the Orlando show; but far better to be getting well, and on your feet again. Perhaps you can swap shows and attend the one in Chicago instead?
In any case- I'm sending you "get well soon" wishes and hope that your pending house move; goes smooth as silk!

    1. Hi Elizabeth. It was a sweet little kit to do and has a nice neat outcome. Like you I am 'happy' to be unwell at home and not be struggling with diagnosis, treatment and insurance etc in Florida. I have done that a couple of times there and in Canada and it is a really stressful situation...... and costly! I always have a wishful eye on the American shows so you never know.... meanwhile thanks for the good wishes on our move, just marking time right now.

    1. Nice to see you. I am officially on a sort of break right now until the move to the new home is over....currently move date is 16th March. So far we have had 23 Feb, 28 Feb, 2 Mar and now the 16th so your guess is good as mine... in the hands of the builders and the weather! I WILL be back as soon as I can unpack and get into my new workroom...aka bedroom two.
