Adding details - the Mud Room

I have gone through all three basement rooms and added plug sockets at floor and work surface levels, an alarm control system and PIRs in the other rooms and a smoke alarm for this floor level.

    1. Me too. I really do believe it pays to look around your real life room a lot and think about what is there that you must have in mini world to make the rooms/narratives actually work. Always assuming that's your aim. Marilyn

  3. These are great details, Marilyn! Last month I made a bunch of light switches and wall outlets in the 3D program I use online, then had them printed. I am hoping to use them on the Beach Bungalow. The plugs all have a removable "plug" that you string the lamp cords into so that it works as both realistic looking and functional. I linked them all together with sprue so that it comes out like a Chrysnbon kit and is much less expensive to print since it is only technically 1 piece. It cost $8.53 to print. I hope they are going to function and look just as charming as yours do!

    1. They sound brilliant. Do you do this just for yourself? Sounds very clever and techy. 3D printing should solve a zillion things like these just brilliantly. Marilyn

    1. Hello Joanna, I am very happy to answer anything specific you might want to know if you want to email me: mormson@gmail.com. I have covered building, decorating, lighting and other stuff via my blogs (others beside this one) and some videos on utube - but that's a hefty trawl for you to find what you want. Everything in this picture - except brush, pan, broom, hooks, keys - came from http://www.delphminiatures.co.uk/ very remiss of me not to say - will go back in and do that. Thank you, Marilyn
