Last, but not least purchases from Miniatura

Mostly Lighting and furniture.....

A pair of buffet lamps - made by TEC Innovations, sold by The Little Dollhouse Company

A pair of small girondelle lights - The Little Dollhouse Company

mmm, not sure about this one - it was on Sue Cook's 'seconds' table for £2

This person was my find of the show for me - Alison Davies .  I intend to write a bit about her in the Show Blog so I won't do it here.  Let's just begin with her beautiful packaging.

I bought a pair of these for my sitting room - the green is ever so slightly not right but I am not recovering these little gems. - Alison Davies

No soggy bottoms here just some faux webbing - what a nice touch - Alson Davies

Over-mantle mirror to match a fireplace - they just fit in the space I have in the Music Room - Sue Cook Miniatures

The other half of the duo (see above)

A bit of a project - I bought a decorated one of these from EBay and I am hoping to make this one to match it.  Success isn't very likely but for under a fiver it is worth a go - Jennifers of Walsall

A modern mirror when I have finished it.  I may not add the embellishment - just keep it simple.  The lines work well with the stripey wallpaper in the dining room. - Elite Petite

A pair of these for my sitting room to go with the sofas - Alison Davies

For lovers of Jiayi, we do have a retailer in the UK - Dream Home Miniatures.  They have a good range of furniture as proven by my being able to get a pair of these cane sofas.  I have been looking for them for a while.  I think they will work very well in my Music Room.

  1. Ooo! Lots of lovely things here Marilyn and you're right about the Alison Davies' packaging. Very professional and very useful too (you probably keep the boxes like I do!) I hope she stays around for a while as I'd like to get more of her pieces. The buffet lamps were a great find too - really nice, neat and simple. I like them. (Mrs LDC wasn't too impressed with my Scottish notes!)

    1. Yes, I love the buffet lamps - one thing the US shows are great for is lighting - but not cheap. I hope to do the Orlando Show in February (holiday) but too far away to wait for lights so I had to bite the bullet and buy from LDC. They have a shop in Toronto no idea how they run it as they are never there - 536,000 miles on his van. I hope Alison Davies keeps her prices at the level they are now - she is off to Kensington and the London show - so we'll see. I just need a couple of chairs from her for this house and am considering her paper.

    1. I hope Alison comes up trumps for you, early days yet as this was her first show and her website is not finished yet. When she does get her papers up I can attest to the quality of the paper and the printing and she does them in several heights so they can be used to cover a wall or above a dado rail or as a frieze. I love the mural ones .... for the right house. Her things have the Giac feel.

    1. Thanks for the ceiling rose boost. She is such a perfectionist that her 'seconds' table often has great bargains but this time, when I scrutinise it, I can see the imperfections. Totally daft really umming and ahhing about it - it is going on the ceiling in a ground floor room for heaven's sake; no-one can actually see it when its in place. So, its a yes.

    1. Aw thanks Elizabeth. When you think 155 traders, many with more than one table, all smothered in tiny things there are a gazillion objects to choose from. Most decision making is about what to leave behind.

    1. Well worth keeping. I know we say it all the time BUT the photos do not do it justice - terrific detail and very nice painting and fabric - just a lovely design and superb finish.
