If you would like to read about my trip to the York Fair and get a glimpse of the Hammond (dolls) House in Wallington, just click here: Dollshouse Trips and Shows Meanwhile here are my purchases:
I think you'll like the Pretty Pleater. I only made drapes once with mine, but can't imagine not having had it! Making a proper jig would be a nightmare!
I did a couple of curtains with my previous wooden one but was so frustrated by it that anything after that I did by modelling the drapes how i wanted them and pinning to polystyrene until dry - I make that sound easy!! It was a real challenge - pins leaving visible holes in fabric, different fabrics behaving differently etc etc, so I am living in hopes of this one.
Hello Marilyn, It looks like you did rather well with your York spend. Lots of lovely modern minis. I just love the pack of tablets. If you haven't thought of it already, a tip for the pretty pleater - run it under the tap and shake off the excess. The fabric will stay in place a bit easier. It's a shame we didn't bump into one another but never mind, there's always the next one.
I honestly did keep an eye out for you, but you know how it is at a show - head is more down gawping at minis than it is up looking at folk. I also think the pills are my favourites this time round. Did you notice Jennifers of Walsall (and two others) were no shows. Hope you had a good time and found lots of goodies that we get to see soon. Marilyn
Looks like you had a great time!
ReplyDeleteWeary but happy - what's not to like.... Marilyn

Beautiful purchases.
ReplyDeleteThank you. Nothing very special, except maybe my bear. One and a quarter inches top to toe, articulated and soft fur. Clever, clever maker.

Ooh, you got some delectable goodies!
ReplyDeleteAw, thanks Megan. One of these days they might even find a home. Marilyn
